Jan Kołodziej (December 9, 1906 in Stryj – April 1944 in Warszaw) – Polish Athlete and Lightweight Boxer of Interwar period. Lightweight Vice-Champion of Poland 1932. Bank clerk and entrepreneur. Fought as one of Lwów Eaglets. Member of the Shooting Club. == Biography == Jan Kołodziej graduated from the Foreign Trade College (from 1937 Foreign Trade Academy) in Lwów. Before the World War II, he worked as a clerk in one of the Gdynia banks and owned a sport store in Oksywie. In 1939 at 4 in the morning, Kołodziej and his wife were kicked out of their apartment in Gdynia. He lost everything, moved to Warszawa, where his life ended tragically. He was shot dead near his own house. Kołodziej was buried in Powązki Cemetery. Due to the fire in the cemetery records, the grave location information is lost. The symbolic grave is in the Bródno Cemetery.
